City of the City (2024) Chinese Drama

During graduation season in Shanghai’s Lujiazui Financial City, Tao Wu Ji, a young man from a small town, starts his career as a teller at a bank’s Pudong branch. Through hard work and emotional intelligence, he rises through the ranks and is selected by Zhao Hui, the branch’s vice president, to join the “Sunshine Project.” Zhao Hui mentors Tao Wu Ji, who follows his example to find purpose in his work. However, as Zhao Hui succumbs to temptation and corruption, Miao Che, head of the audit department, resists pressure and investigates his former classmate, Zhao Hui.
