For the adopted son of the Qin family, Wen Tian, it seemed like the world had been against him since birth. He was a frail youngster, and his family felt it best for him to live at Bai Manor. While still quite young, his marriage to Bai Qiu Xue was arranged, solidifying ties between the two families. But the Qin elders were unaware that the Bais had set their sights on a more advantageous match for daughter Qiu Xue!

With only Wen Tian standing between them and a Royal Family connection, the Bais plan his assassination. But their plan goes awry once Wen Tian escapes. Running for his life, he finds refuge with the Jiuhua Sect, noted martial arts masters. Wen Tian befriends Mo Quing Chen, his new master’s niece, and Crown Prince Yi Wu Wei, in hiding since his uncle, Yi Tian Jiao, challenged him for the crown.

Setting aside his own plans for revenge, Wen Tian agrees to help Wu Wei regain his rightful place. Making their way to the Imperial City, the trio sets out to confront the usurper. But to regain the crown, they’ll have to confront more than the greedy prince.
