Synopsis
Soon Young is the head of her family, caring for her mentally handicapped father, unscrupulous uncle, and sickly younger sister, Soon Ja, who dreams of moving to the U.S. Mang Taek arranges for Soon Young to be adopted by an American man seeking a healthy Korean girl, but Soon Ja, jealous of the plan, wants to take her place. When the American man and his daughter arrive, Soon Young, her uncle, and Soon Ja must decide who will go, unaware that the American has an ulterior motive.
